Hair loss can be one of the symptoms of Long Covid. What does the virus do to the hair? The viral infection puts a lot of stress on the body. This stress can lead to the development of a condition called telogen effluvium. This means that the hair moves from its growth phase to the failure phase (telogen phase). During this process, the hair detaches from the blood supply and its anchorage. By the way, telogen effluvium can also be triggered by numerous other diseases, e.g. severe infection (bacterial pneumonia, sepsis), drugs, micronutrient disorders, etc. Since covid-related hair loss is usually reversible, I would advise staying positive and not letting it upset you. Of course, it is very scary, and I was also completely shocked at the amount of hair I had to pick up off the floor every day. Washing my hair was sheer horror. All the hair that fell out could have easily been used to make wigs for several people. Honestly, I had no idea how to counteract this. So I started talking about it at events and meetings, and was surprised, how many were affected. This way I got valuable tips and product recommendations. My personal therapy looked like this : (Note: This is not medical advice and not a guarantee. If you also want to try my products, please find out beforehand if they are suitable for you). Twice a day I took supplements in the form of super tasty HUM Gummies with Benefits (Hair sweet Hair). These contain biotin, folic acid, B12, zinc, PABA and Fo-Ti extract. In addition to this every evening I sprayed my scalp Witz Ginseng Hair Elixir (from GINZAI) and massaged it with a thick brush or simply the fingers. If I washed the hair, then only with thickening and restoring shampoo of TOMORROW LABS , afterwards I used the conditioner ofTOMORROW LABS (also thickening and restoring). I did. this over four months. From the second month I had significantly less fallen hair in the sink after washing my Hair and after another two months I could say that the bad period of hair loss was over. Everything is back to normal except that there is only 1/3 hair left on my head. Fortunately, it is not so noticeable due to the natural frizz, but my hair has become very fine and thin from the structure. New hair is growing back and I really hope that it will be stronger. Fingers crossed.
Fingers crossed.
